Do Product Videos Sell?

A few days ago I wrote about Squeeze Page Mastery and questioned whether audio or video increased the levels of sign-ups.

Film Reel Although the jury is still out (I do have my expectations however) I decided to give the new Pre SaleVideos offered by Todd Gross and Derrick Van Dyke a try. Although not strictly “squeeze page” videos you could create a page using them, they are really designed to”pre-sell” a particular product. I guess the name is a bit of a give away!

Initially you get 12 professionally produced videos, or rather you get a link already embedded with your own affiliate link, that talks about a top-selling online product - typically via ClickBank or via PayPal.

There is no need for a website or hosting - all you need to do is promote the link and anyone proceeding to purchase the product results in an affiliate sale. For example, THIS IS THE LINK to the video about the PreSaleVideos service.
BUT, you can also embed the videos in your own website and blog pages. For example I’ve added a video for a very, very low cost affiliate marketing product at Ultimate-Internet-Business. You’ll see the video starts automatically and the link then leads directly to the sales page. video

There’s a FREE 7 DAY trial and then a low ongoing monthly cost for using the service.

I’m really impressed, particularly as there will be 3-4 new videos added each month PLUS you get the chance to request a video is produced for your favourite product.

Camera I’ve been keen to add video to some of my sites for a while but without the equipment, technical know how and with a face that is better suited to radio I’ve resisted!

This is a great way to achieve my aim at what I think is a very low entry cost.

Avoiding Spam - Email Deliverability

Everyday the challenge becomes more difficult.

Hear the solution at 2pm EASTERN TIME - TODAY - Wednesday 7th November 2007

Each of us sits squarely on both sides of the fence.

How do we filter out the mountains of unwanted junk that finds its way into our Inboxes?

How do we ensure we DO receive the information we want and have requested without some spam filter blocking it’s receipt?

How do we ensure our genuine email messages get delivered and read by the very people who have genuinely subscribed to receive information?

What’s worse for online marketers is the fact that some reports suggest that over 50% of all emails sent to genuine list subscribers never receive the emails. Now does that change the percentages somewhat?

For example if you email 1000 subscribers and 10 take you up on the offer then you have a conversion of 1%. Probably considered reasonable by many people.

But what if only 500 of those messages were delivered? The conversion is actually 2% because the same number purchased but from fewer seeing your offer.

Now if you knew that vital piece of information perhaps you would consider the project in a different light.

So the challenge is clearly avoiding spam and ensuring maximum email deliverability.
